I am so happy to tell you that we have been reunited with our Cockatiel Jojo as of last evening. It means so much to see that the diligence of looking and putting the word out makes a difference.

It’s a wonderful story. Jojo was found by another Cockatiel owner. It happened a mile from our home 48 hours after he flew out of our garage. His neighbor alerted him to the cockatiel that was spotted in his front yard, thinking it was his pet. His bird was in it’s cage but he caught Jojo anyway, placed him in a cage and fed him. Then he saw our Craigslist post and called us. He brought Jojo home and we were reunited. Jojo has a checkup with his vet on Thursday but overall seems fine. He has been sleeping most of the day in between lots of snuggling on my shoulder. It’s so good to have Jojo home. My perspective on faith and hope has changed dramatically.

Thank you for your amazing work. You will never know how much your support means to me when all I felt was despair and fear. Once I knew that others have had success, and there were people our there who would help, I prayed for Jojo to be protected and for someone to please help us reunite. I had peace and believed it was a matter of time and to expect a miracle. A fabulous ending to quite a story.

Jojo is a very social and friendly 4 yo cockatiel, will land on your head or shoulders to be close to you. He eats meals with the family, is playful(peek-a-boo) and bright and learns to whistle songs from the school band practice, enjoys kissing and head feather picking. He spends every morning on Mom’s shoulder. In Aug 2011 he voyaged with his family from NY to CA by car with Mom and Hannah (15), and other pets CJ (husky) and Herman (chinchilla) where he now lives. He receives hours of daily handling and other family interaction. He eats organic corn and peas (his favorite). He goes to bed early and wakes when the coffee is brewing. He “talks” whenever someone is on the phone. He is so loved and missed his family expects to care for him for many years to come. We trust your help will bring him home.
