Some good news!! The lost Cockatiel named Chica Gu Gu from Fremont has been found and positively identified. The owner Chien went out of the country for the holidays will be reunited soon.
I dont know where he was found but a nice person found him and turned him over to the shelter. They contacted Mickaboo. Shelter staff member Christine was given my email address by our cockatiel team. Christine notified me that a Tiel had been found and asked if we had any listed as lost. YES! Chien the owner had been sending me emails almost every day, distraught, worried, wanting help, advice, statistics etc. We talked almost every day and her persistence paid off as this little guy was beginning to feel like a family member!

Update posted on Craigslist on Dec 11.01:
There is update this afternoon, we go back to the plaza where Chica flew away and get the input from the lady works in that area; she has taken the pictures of Gu Gu Chica two days ago, he has been wandering in the front of the resturant and made sound (I believe he is calling us); he even flew to the shoulders of the clients at that resturant, unfortunately, nobody sees if Chica has been taken or still around. It means Chica has been staying in that area in this cold weather for 5 days by himself……

Gu Gu Chica is a Normal Gray Cockatiel – Gray body with white markings on both wings, yellow head with orange cheeks.
There is scar (no feather) between noses. Chica is nippy and has biting habit. He likes to have rice, bread and fruits.
Gu Gu Chica flew away from the parking lot at the intersection of Paseo Padre Parkway and Walnut Ave.across Paseo Padre Parkway toward Chase Bank in Fremont at 2PM on 12/6/2011.
