I wanted to let everyone know, especially the owner of the lost cockatiel from Sandy Springs, that after 3 months of looking we found Pepper. We never stopped looking for her and took advantage of every lost and found aid outlet out there–even doing a Pet Amber Alert. She was lost on January 12 and we got a call from someone in Winder (25 miles away!) on April 13 that they had found her; they saw my ad in the Atlanta Journal. We were ecstatic as you can imagine. We brought her home, loved on her but unfortunately the harsh conditions of being in the wild for the last 3 months of winter took a toll on her 13 year old body and she died of exhaustion early the next morning. To anyone who has lost a pet, don’t give up. Miracles happen daily. We are devastated that our little Pepper died, but at least we know what happened to her and she is now at home.
