 June 28, 2012 Hey everyone,

My beautiful Rosie is back safe and sound. She finally got to a tree in our back yard, and then worked her way down, flew on top of one of the other bird cages and was quite grateful when I picked her up and put her in the cage with food and water.

She had quite an adventure. Thank you so much for helping me get through this. Kind words from someone who doesn’t even know us meant the world to us today!!

Marley her buddy was calling her all morning along with the 2 cockatiels. We kept walking around to see if she had landed on the ground. Got to meet a bunch of our neighbors.

Wing clipping is the first order of business. Truly a miracle our feathered baby is home. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

We will be so much more careful, I really had no idea that she could fly like that. In reading a ton of articles on the internet, that’s is the thing I heard the most, is that we the owners have no idea that they can take off and fly that far and that fast. I am so relieved and blessed that she is home.

My beautiful girl Rosie got away from me tonight and flew up and over the trees in the neighborhood right around the Post Office around Palmetto in Eagle, ID. Her buddy Marley and our family are devastated. I am attach pictures. If you see her or hear her, please give us a call. 208-514-1332 or 509-768-8657. She is very brightly colored. I am not sure if she will make it the night with it getting cold, and if she makes it to the day she’s so colorful that she will attract predators I am afraid. So please if you see her, let us know. If she is on the ground or at a low spot if you put your finger up under her chest she will step up. Other than that, I don’t think she will come to anyone.
