It’s getting very cold out there. We hope Bailey has found a nice warm loving
home. He is probably somewhere in the Waywayanda State Park Vicinity. Or near
Warwick NY since he was last seen in August in Barry Lakes, NJ. If you have him
and wish to return him contact us or the Vernon Animal Shelter.

Bailey is still missing but was spotted last Thursday in the Barry Lakes section
of Vernon NJ. If you spot him you may be able to coax him with sunflower seeds
(his favorite) and with the words “Yummy Yummy”. If you find him and choose not
to return him. Please do your research and care for him properly. Don’t stick
him in a Canary cage, etc.

Comments: Bailey is a very affectionate, gentle bird. He likes sitting on my
head or landing on your shoulder. He will touch your cheek with his beak when
asked for a kiss. Unfortunately, he is VERY shy around strangers and sudden
movements will startle him. He does respond extremely well to “Step-Up” command.
My husband and I have been heartbroken since he got away. We are also very
concerned about our African Grey who has had Bailey’s company since she’s a year
old. Although they never closely interacted. She is used to his presence and has
been somewhat quiet since her first night without him around. But I’m sure as
bird lovers you know how we feel. Below is not actually Bailey but, it is a VERY
good likeness. His eyes are more expressive. I have attached a picture of
him in the shower. He LOVES showers!
