My bird was bought at Koo’lau Pets in Windward Mall, 2005. They had two hand fed Princess of Wales parakeets, one of them bought by my grandmother. At the time, we lived in Kaneohe and moved to Palolo Valley.
He was very tame. He did not like to be pet on his back, but he loved getting kisses and being out of his cage. He did not learn to talk, but he makes a loud “scree” that sounds like a cockatiel and bobs his head making “ticking” sounds.
A woman claimed my bird as hers when I was 12 years old, saying I “abandoned” him. He is living in an outdoor cage, possibly with other birds in Palolo Valley.
I love this bird, and always will. I want my best friend back in my life. I know this woman’s address, if you have any advice on how I can get my bird back, I will take any.
