An Abilene woman and her five adopted children are heartbroken after their family pets were stolen from their front porch. Now she is on a mission to get them back.
Two family pets were taken from a home on the corner of North 19th and Mesquite last week.
Alicia Alcorta has had the two yellow parrots for over 13 years, and now she says her kids miss them since they’ve been gone.
Alcorta does not want to give out the birds’ names in fear that it might assist the thieves in handling the parrots.
The family was close to the very vocal birds and now she is putting up flyers to try and get them back.
The thieves also took the cage the birds were in.
