STOLEN BIRD!!! On Friday 1/20/17, my mother’s home was broken into. They stole a number of things, but the strangest and hardest of all to accept is that they stole our ~17 year old Green Cheeked Conure, Sweetpea, whom we’ve raised since a baby. This occurred in SOUTHEAST San Antonio near I-10. I’ve been scouring craigslist and for sale FB groups to see if someone has listed her.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Most of her belly feathers are gone, she has cataracts in one eye, she can say “Hi Sweet-a-pea”, her flying skills are sub-par, and she does not take kindly to strangers. She will bite anyone who isn’t myself or my mother (thank GOD for her strong spirit, but I fear someone will abuse her if she fights back). She was taken with her cage. It is a large metal cage on wheels–heavy enough to require at least two people to lift into a truck or SUV.
