Rico is a domesticated bird with a very unique way of living. For the past two years, he had a schedule where he would fly out of the hone in the mornings and come down to his cage throughout the day as he got hungry. He called for us around 5pm when he wanted to come in and sleep. He never truly lived in his cage and he knew how to let himself in and out as he chose. Rico has been a joy for the family, but recently he started to land into our neighbors shoulders as they did yard duties outside – not being afraid of humans- and we worry that he may have flown too far out this time, not knowing his way back.
